Jean Asselborn met with Ivica Dačić during the Francophonie Summit in Madagascar
The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, met with Ivica Dačić, Vice-Prime minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, during the XVI Summit of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, which took place from 22 to 24 November 2016 in Antananarivo, in the Republic of Madagascar. The two Foreign Ministers discussed the bilateral relationship between Luxembourg and Serbia, including possibilities for further cooperation. The Ministers also exchanged views on the political and economic situation in Serbia and on the progress achieved in the EU accession negotiations with Serbia. Furthermore, they addressed the EU-facilitated Belgrade-Priština dialogue as well as the migratory situation in Serbia and the EU.
